At the muhurta hour, the bride's team sits around a table where the photos of the deity are kept in front of the lamps. The bride comes out with a thaalam and takes three rounds around the table where the photo of the deity is kept, and then stands in front of the deity. Then the poojari/priest does pooja on the thali and hands over the gold chain with the thali to the groom. The groom ties it around her neck, then both their hands are kept together while the father of the bride does some ritual, and hands her over to him. After that, garlands are exchanged, and the ritual is complete.
